About Karen Kingsbury
Karen Kingsbury is an author who is best known for writing contemporary books about life changing events created into fictional novels. She began her career as a writer for the Los Angeles Times and later the Los Angeles Daily News before writing for People Magazine. To date, she has written over 40 novels. She has 13 million copies of her novels in print and has been on both the USA and New York Times Best Seller lists. She specializes in Christian inspired fiction writing with her first novel being “Where Yesterday Lives” that was published in 1998.
She has written about recent social happenings that have occurred throughout the country and the world and has also written several books about the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. She has written an entire series of the September 11th attacks entitled the September 11th series.
Most of the books by Karen Kingsbury have been series books. She began with the Forever Faithful series and then moved to the Women of Faith Series. She has also written the Miracle Books Collection as well as gift books. In addition, Ms. Kingsbury has written children’s books as well. All of her books center around her Christian faith and timely events, as well as how people deal with these events in a fictionalized setting.
She has one two awards for her books. In 2005, she won the Gold Medallion Book Award for “Ocean’s Apart” and she won the ECPA Book of the Year Award for “Ever After” in 2007. This was the first time that this award in fiction went to a female author.

In addition to writing novels, Kingsbury also wrote a song “Walls” that she co-wrote with Richie McDonald. This is played on Country and Christian radio stations and came out earlier this year.
