About Max LucadoMax Lucado is a Christian author who has written more than 50 books throughout this career. In addition to being a writer, he is also a pastor of Oak Hills Church in San Antonio, Texas. He has won the "Gold Medallion Christian Book Of The Year" award three times for the following books:
His books have been on several best seller lists and he has been named "Amerca's Pastor" by the publication "Christianity Today." In 2005, Reader's Digest named him "Best Preacher In America." He has also been featured as a speaker o several news channels. His books are regularly featured on the New York Times Best Seller List. Lucado originally wanted to become an attorney, but when attending Abilene Christian University a bible course and mission altered the course of his life and he became a missionary. He began his writing career by writing columns for his local church. Since 1983, he has written over 50 books, with 28 million of them still in print. His first book was entitled "On The Anvil" and was published in 1983. Since that time period, he has averaged a book each year. His books are all based upon the faith of Christianity. One of his latest books, 3:16: The Numbers Of Hope became a film in 2007 named "3:16 - Stories Of Hope." A children's book, "Hermie, A Common Caterpillar" was made into a series of Christian videos for children and was named as one of the top Christian cartoons. His latest book written in 2009 is entitled "Fearless" and is available at local bookstores as well as in Christian bookstores. Those who listen to Christian radio as well as follow Christian writers are well familiar with the name of Max Lucado and his work. In addition to books and videos, a CD was released in 2007 entitled "3:16 - Songs Of Hope." His books and videos have received critical acclaim from various sources.
