I could not believe my fortune with this site. My sister actually recommended this website to me and I am forever indebted to her. Returning to school on my own dime it was really shocking to see the cost of books. Ordering from BookRenter saved me over $600.00 and for that I am so greatful.

As a frugal college student who is always looking to cut costs on textbooks, I have done plenty of research on textbook prices and websites that offer the best prices. While I cannot say that I have found every book I've needed from bookrenter.com, I believe their selection is good and will only continue to improve. Pricewise, I am almost always going to take the lowest price, either to rent or buy used. I am happy to say bookrenter.com is one of my first choices because of their competitive low prices and excellent service and communication. If you are new to the rental process and unsure if it's for you, bookrenter.com will keep you updated on when you need to return with emails and provide easy tools to return it. They cover the return shipping costs as well.

If you need a textbook or textbooks and they all are very expensive, BookRenter is the way to go. I will never purchase a textbook again. I saved $100!!! The book was in excellent condition when I received it. The service is timely for initial renting and returning is simple. They keep you informed. The prices are surprisingly very affordable. I look forward to the next time which is only days away, I look forward to saving more than $275!!!! Wow!

Whenever I have to get books, I check several sources to find the cheapest. I refuse to use EBay anymore. On a couple of occassions, bookrenter was the cheapest. They do exactly what you'd expect. I've had no problems with them, in 3 consecutive experiences.

I have always come to Book Renter for all my book needs. With tuition on the rise it kills me to have to part with $150 for a book that I will only crack open a couple times in the semester, so when I found Book renter I thanked the Book Gods!! Except for one book that they did not have, I have found all my books here. The money I have saved I use for other non-school things. The books are always in great condition and they ship out fast. I am always telling people about this site (so much so I should probably be paid for marketing this place!)LOL. So yup, rent from them you will not be disappointed! Then with that left over change in your pocket from savings go get some froyo!

My daughter tried to save our family money by using bookrenter.com. The charges where a mere $12.73 in March. She returned the textbook & I noticed today charges pending for $160.27.. ONE HUNDRED & SIXTY DOLLARS.. The textbook she "rented" I had seen and asked her why that book was in such horrible condition. She shrugged & I thought nothing of it. I wish I had! Bookrenter.com boast affordable prices & quality customer service but they are far from that! I called to see why I was being charged $160.27 & they told me her textbook was "water damaged" halfway through. My complaint was the textbook was received in this condition (maybe that's why it was so cheap!) & i asked the Representative by phone if the company purchased the textbook new, her reply was NO! So basically I'm paying $173 for a textbook that is worth $12.73??? Funny thing is on top of all this she paid for Express Shipping!!!! The textbook was not brand NEW it was made in 2008!! The pages where highlighted, written on, the covers were folded at the corners & overall definitely not worth $173! I could imagine at least 10 people had rented that book! To make matters worse, when I first contacted customer service I asked for more details & the representative named Robert, HUNG UP IN MY FACE upon me requesting a manager! I called back and the next representative told me that "my concerns are not significant enough to discuss with a manager!" I told my friends & family about the hassles I've been through and none of

THEY SEND YOU A USED BOOK TO BEGIN WITH. WHEN YOU SEND IT BACK THEY CLAIM IT'S BEEN DAMAGED AND CHARGE YOU FULL PRICE FOR IT. CUSTOMER SERVICE WANTED ME TO CONTACT UPS REGARDING THE DAMAGE, REALLY?, HOW MANY PACKAGES DOES UPS TRANSPORT DAILY????, WHY IS BOOKRENTERS SO SPECIAL THAT UPS WILL SPECIFICALLY REMEMBER THEM??????. ITS A BIG RIP OFF. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM.

I ordered a textbook and it showed it much later than my order said. I called them to tell them the book never arrived and they offered to give me my money back or send a replacement order. My replacement order arrived two days later and it was in amazing condition, like new. Later that week I got the first order, which was like new too, and returned it. But I realized I never needed that book and they were so cooperative about my returning the replacement order too, thanks to their 21 day return policy. Plus free shipping both ways is standard! I ordered a book about an hour before the close of business on a Tuesday and paid $9.99 for Express shipping. The disclaimer stated that it would take one to two days to process, but that it would be delivered on the second day since I paid for Express delivery. When I did not receive it, I called the customer service department. They told me that I would not receive the book until Friday because I had to add two days processing to the two days shipping. I informed him that that was not what the website stated and asked to speak with a supervisor. He stated that there was no supervisor available and that there was nothing he could do. He also said that I read the information incorrectly which I know I didn't. I asked for a refund so that I could use the money to purchase another book, and he stated that I would have to wait until the book arrived and send it back in order to get a refund even though they still had the book! I would NOT EVER suggest anyone rent from these people. They clearly only want the money. I went to Chegg and had a similar issue with the arrival date being a little later than I thought although I did not pay for Express shipping there; however, they gave me a free Ebook until my book would arrive.
